What better place for a winter wedding than a beautiful barn? Perona Farms in Andover, New Jersey was the perfect setting for this gorgeous New Year's Eve wedding!
Rachel and Mike were such a fun couple to work with. They had a clear vision of what they wanted and allowed me to run with it. A floral designer's dream! Their navy blue, white and silver palette gave me lots to work with and the main flower they wanted was the white anemone. I LOVE anemones and was excited to work with these gorgeous flowers! They are magnificent at this time of year. We used them in the centerpieces, bouquets, cocktail hour arrangements and the boutonnieres.
The day was perfect! The weather was warm enough for outdoor photos, but there was a light dusting of snow that gave the photos, taken by amazing photographer Anthony Ziccardi Studios, a festive and wintery feel.
The gorgeous bride decided on an all white rose bouquet that went perfectly with her winter wedding and her stunning dress.
She and her bridesmaids each had a charm on their bouquets that represented something important to all of them and they added such a beautiful and personal touch to the day. They also had on delicate shawls that looked so perfect with their dresses. The boots were also a nice touch and very practical!
The ceremony was held on the second floor of the barn in front of an arch designed with evergreens, thistle, berries and snow accents. The majesty of the barn with its warm white lights and arched ceiling added to the warm glow envisioned by the bride and groom. It was magical!
The reception was also held on the second floor of the barn after a cocktail hour downstairs. The quick turnover of the room for the reception was no small feat and all thanks to the excellent staff at Perona Farms. The room was set up in two long rows of rectangular tables with the center aisle becoming the dance floor once the reception started. It was packed all night!
The couple had a beautiful sweetheart table also decorated with evergreens and touches of silver. The cake also had silver and blue accents and figurines of a bride cat and a groom cat at the top as an homage to one of Rachel and Mike's mutual loves. There was even an outdoor fire pit with a s'more bar in which the bride and groom happily partook in all of their wedding finery!
There were two different centerpieces---a wood box filled with evergreens and branches and a wood box filled with blue hydrangea and anemones -- both tying in to the wintery feel of this New Year's Eve wedding.
The wedding finished with hats and noisemakers at midnight and delicious plates of fried donuts. It was an honor to get to know Rachel and Mike and their families and to provide the decor for their wedding. They are headed off to Australia next month! Congratulations to a wonderful couple!
